i just want to set the record strait for my own knowledge, so im hoping some of the more experianced and knowledgable people might help give me some insight, and truth...

went to the local speed shop and the guy there tried very hard to sell me some iridium plugs, he claimed it has the potential to increase HP numbers by upto 12% of your stock numbers... i know with propor tuning you can extract quite a bit from the ignition itself by playing with the timing and maps, ect... but comon!!! 12%? i just wasnt buying into the BS... but if im worng, ill be happily corrected! i just cant see how poping in some super hot plugs will do any more then burn the **** out of its own electrobs... anybody have anything for me?
