just installed an apexi vafc on my b16a, only problem is that the car won't stay running. and when it does, everytime i step on the throttle the car dies. i know it has something to do with my throttle setting, but not quite sure whats going on here. anyone have any thoughts?

 

throttle settings only change the fuel map in the given throttle % and interpolates between....set at 10 for low and 50-60 for WOT to start.

My guess is that you need to dial in the cylinder numbers, let the VAFC learn the closed and open throttle through initialization and you should be good from there.

 

I'd bet he has one of the basic settings not set.. like cyl or AFM type.

Even if you get the car running right after installing the VAFC... you're just pissing in the wind by changing the settings unless you have a true wideband O2 or you're dyno tuning. Chances are you're hurting more than helping - tune it right!
