Default Coilovers installed...

I installed my skunk 2 coilovers and tokico blues the other day and it rides alright but it seems like every little bump in the road bottoms out my u.c.a. I got the ride hight pritty low, from tire to fender about 3/4 inch or so. I really like the look and feel of the lower stance but i cant stand how it bottoms out. You guys got anytips. I see alot of ef's out there that are slamed what is your secret of do you have the same problem?

Thanks.

You should of bought a real set of coilovers, not sleeves.
It's not that much more than your combo.

The blues arent really for slamming the car..I consider those stock replacements..Its not a matched setup at all,,blues cant handle the springs,,my advice is to raise it back up a bit.. Also did you cut the bumpstops in 1/2 ?

If you wanna slamm the car , you gotta get high spring rates ! 550 lbs or higher.
Now most shocks cant handle rates higher than 600lbs, so you gotta get custom valving on the shocks.

nice drop and nice wheels, um.... usually when you drop your car, and leave like a inch or 2 clearance of ride height, your gonna bottom out on a lot of stuff lol. **** i have to have someone lift up on the fender to put my car on a hoist at school cuz the arms or w/e u call them wont clear the rocker panels

You shouldn't be bottoming out, you aren't that low at all. My car is lower than yours and the only things that bottom out are the mud flaps when I corner hard.

True, I've got a lower stance too and I've yet to bottom out even with my seven year old set up. So how did you resolve it?

i tuck in the front and there is just barely any wheel gap in the rear... i dont bottom out that much(only on huge bumps) and i want to go lower lol... im seriously thinking about at least 7-800 lb race springs on some koni yellows or something harder

Sorry i wasnt able to post more replys i cant post more then five a day well it was a stupid mistake, but i forgot to put the bumpstops on wtf. HEHEHE well silly stuff happens some times. Took off the shock got the bumpstops cut down and put them back, the current bump stop is about an inch and a half about is that ok, i cut off an inch. I got the skunk 2 coil overs all the way down but the ride height stays the same, whats up with this? The big problem im having now is that my rear shocks wont come loose, used and impact, breaker bar and all types of ****. The car comes from canada originaly im thinking rust or some weird composite **** got to it. Well now i almost rounded off the bolt and it broke off in the bushing, im pissed, got a new arm but all the other bolts wont budge looks like im going to have to cut it off and retap the thread .

Well im stoked how it rides now It handles good, cant wait to get the rears in and dial it all in. Glad i got all my camber adjustment ready just need the coilovers in the rear.

I went for a ride in my buddys eg he has koni's man im sold got to get some in the hatch.

Here are a couple pics, got some new shoes!!! just traded for size 15 rota's the 16 didnt work well with the hatch, 15 inch is money...

Ill keep you all posted. Thanks for all your help Love the Hatch!!!
