N/A, it's more reliable, and honda's are made for vtec. And if you want to turbo it later, that **** will be hella fast. If you have an EK than make it as much like a CTR as possible.

sohc turbo for life!

u can put down 180-200whp with a stock engine,

no way u can do that with an lsvtec, unless u go crazy,

plus turbos sound so sick

If i were you i would go with the ls vtec, just because i like all motor, and Vtec screams with a B16 head on a B18 block is just so loud.

all the noobs are saying lsvtec, and all the more experienced are saying SOHC turbo. Wonder why....

Besides, even if you do go to lsvtec later (which you have no plans on it because ls/vtec = unreliable @8000rpm with that shitty r/s ratio anyways)

Turbo the SOHC now, it's ultra fun and pisses off people with 4000 dollar b-series swaps because you're faster and you paid less than half of what they paid. Then as time moves on and you want to put a b18b in there, because you realize vtec is overrated (as opposed to a b16 or gsr) then all you have to do is sell your d-series turbo manifold and buy a b-series turbo manifold. voila, now your d-series turbo kit works for b-series.
