Don't bother blowing $300 on bolt ons. Put that money towards suspension and you'll be much happier. A slow car can be fun with the right suspension...see my garage for an example

300? Nitrous is your best bang for the buck. But with the nitrous its give and take. You -Can- blow **** up with it. Just be careful. And get it tuned.

Suspension, Suspension, Suspension.

A high school-part-time-job-budget is not going to buy you any noticeable power. Unless you have lots of patience to save up.

welcome to h-t. you can buy a header if you want, but its not gonna do much with that motor, if its not already slammed, then do that first, because no matter what car it is, it looks 10x better lowered.

i was also thinking of dropping it. how much would that cost.

For $300 you might be able to get away with lowering your car. Lowering springs range from $100 - $200, and having them installed also ranges in the same area. I recommend http://www.tirerack.com for looking up compatiable springs.

I ran ground control on stock shocks for a while. About a 1.5-1.75" drop. Never ever bottomed out and I looked way better than stock. My friends envyed me. All their cars are slammed.

Take me for example: broke-*** college student, I put all my money in the suspension and my car handles. I take people for a ride in the twisties and they love the way it stays planted. My budget won't allow for a B-series swap, so I went the smart way with the money I have.

people are right - suspension add's a whole new feeling and prepares your car for any future hp-upgrades to come.

also, the mini-me swap is not a bad way to spend your money, but i don't know how those mini-me sets are priced "over there". mini-me means changing the intake / injection part of your d16, thus more or less making it a 16y8 with an sohc vtec and 125hp instead of your current 105.

speaking of power - your car fitted with an auto-tranny ?

are you using aftermarket lug nuts on oem wheels? thats not safe dude, oem wheels need the ACORN shaped lugs, aftermarket ones use CONICAL, and if you don't use the proper acorn shaped lugs they won't seat properly.

Yeah I'd do some suspension work and if you want some power, go with a mild nitrous setup. Or you can save save save, and turbo that biotch..
