I bought a 1995 honda civic h/b, and the left headlight was smashed because he hit a tree, i bought a new headlight and fitted it and it wont work properly, when i turn on light sidelight no lights come on, when i turn on main lights only the right one comes on and the blue led on the dash comes on, then when i click the leaver towards me for the full headlight both headlights come on but i dont think the back light work, indicators work fine, could you please help me out with this problem please..

Also cheaked the fuses beside the engine and there ok, also cheaked the ones under the steering wheel and they look ok but there is like 2 missing would this affect the headlights???

EDIT UPDATE: The light on the dashboard dont work for the speedo temp etc these dont light up, the back lights dont come on when lights are on and only one break light works.The lowest beams dont work the right one works and second click (dont know what it is high beam or whatever but it dont click further) and both headlights work when i put on full beams *when blue light is on, but back lights dont work at all, and ideas whats worng???

check the wiring on the headlight that you replaced. see if there sre any cuts in the wiring and if its all connected still. if all that is okay then its probably just a bad bulb

 

ok will cheak, you know the main connection that connects into the back of the headlight i have that conected, but there are two other wires with small conections that connect into the headlight also and it dont look like they go anywhere,just wondering what are they for, and any ideas why the lights on the dash and back light stoped working??

 

also be sure to check the fuses

 

any other ideas, where are the fuses located are they under the steering wheel, and do ya know what the two little wires that connect into the headlight are for

Sounds to me like you are talking about the wires for the sidemarker light and blinker
If u have stock headlights there should only be one plug with like 3-4 wires in it that plugs in your headlight

 

thanks for the help guys found out the problem there was a burnt out 10amp fuze for headlights back lights and dash etc,
