WTF IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!!!
ok so heres my situation....ive posted on here before bout my car not startin and i have a project thread for it as well in my sig.. but i just put in a new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new main relay, new ecu and still the same problem. WHen i go to start the car and turn the key no fuel pump priming happens, the cel blinks and the ecu red light blinks and the main relay clicks all at the same time. COnstantly. they dont stop clicking. then i go to start the car and it just turns and turns and doesnt start. then i checked the fuel rail. no fuel is getting to it. i dunno wtf this problem is but im tired of it.
to fuel system problems.
PLEASE HELP!
to fuel system problems. PLEASE HELP!
I know it gonna sound retarded but... click the key back and forth with out starting the car a couple of times. It resets the sytem and some times it will fire up. It got so cold my wifes car woulnt start and we couldn't figure out why because everything checked out. It worked after the car sat for a week
some times it the little things.

not a flood car....i will check the grounds when i get home cuz im at my school right now and the ecu light just blinks no codes are thrown.
I've had this problem.... i think its your battery. sounds simple, but most likely
Finding this problem i almost rewired my entire security system, and resoldered three different main relays i thought were bad, checked my fuel pump and lines, took apart my fuel rail etc etc.... and it was the battery!!..
1 - Check all of your grounds again
2. - your battery is probobly shot.. its a good possability. !!! Batteries are weird, they might have some recharging power left in them, and the cel might look good, but in fact its bad.
Replace your battery with a friends or a spare just to make sure so you dont go spending money on a new one. Its most likely not keeping charge. JUST FYI, sometimes even a jump wont do the trick on a bad battery.
Might not be your problem.. but let me guess. MAin Relay is clicking constantly under your dash, with maybe a few more clicking sounds behind dash?.. Your ECU is blinking but no codes?. The car isn't turning over at all?... Your Fuel Rail shouldn't be spitting fuel, no priming of the pump, and no spark ?...
check it out ..

what he said. batteries are a bitch. you can'tjust put a multi-meter to it in order to find out if it is bad ornot. you need a load tester hooked up to it. That will tell you how strong the batteryis and if it's bad or not.

That would be when there's no CCA.
He's right though, that could very likely be your problem, if there isn't enough power for the FP to pump your fuel, that would explain why there isn't any fuel getting to your fuel rail.
If you think it could be your battery, don't waste time. Go take a battery you know is good from your mom or dad or gf's car, and try it.
If that doesn't work, go get yourself a voltmeter and check the wires on the fp to check for current

ur best answer is to probly go bak to stock as much as u can....jus to get it started...and elimanate some of the problems...then start over........
Did you check the relay thats under the steering colomn, I don't have my book w/ me so I'm not sure of the correct name for it. Anyway I was having the same prob a few years ago w/ a prev. hatch and thats what the prob. was.
ok.. first off, if your going to be checking your relays or electricol systems, its best to have a voltameter, but most people dont have one >_O so its guess and check
Did you replace the battery yet?????......
Have you changed the grounds at any point recently?..i hate to be a pain about it... Did you check the ground on the thermostat housing, or on your or tranny. You might have one mixed up. You coudl even try cleaning the contanct point where the grounds sit with some sandpaper. Dont miss any, even the valve cover ground is important.
Negative Battery Post to Chassis to Trans
Thermostat to harness (small screw on the thermostat)
Valve Cover to Chassis
Since you changed the main relay under the steering column, that crosses out. I was going to say check the solders on it.
There's definitely a short somewhere, and something is mixed up or not connected.
Trust me when you find it your going to go.. duh. .. and its probobly simple, just take your time.

i fixed it all..it doesnt run yet because of a timing problem but the fuel system is working...it was the thermostat ground...it was badly corroded and i cleaned it and then it all worked....thanx guys
i have to get this timing pixed now
