Default Spring Rate Question..

I found a great set of Cusco Comp S Coilovers. My question is the guy has the spring rates listed as 8k in the front, 6k in the rear. My car is mostly a street car. Are these rates too stiff for the street? I am willing to sacrifice a little comfort, I'm just not looking for something that is going to be breaking my tailbone.

Thanks in advance guys.

Those rates should be fine assuming the dampers are decent quality.

They are part of the Cusco Comp s Coilovers so I am assuming they are very good quality.

Anyone have any experience with these?

the quality will be fine, iirc they are made by showa. the only issue with the comp s is the ride height adjustability is not independant. i would expect as with most jdm coilovers for the shock to be valved on the stiff side. i thought about these but instead decided to go with the spoon dampers and progressive springs.

When you say the ride height adjustablity is not independent, what do you mean by this?

maybe this will make a little more sense. take a look at the difference between the comp-s and zero1. it goes into detail right after the description of the zero1
