Call me dumb, but what is the purpose of the holes in the rear bumper, besides looking stupid?

 

i bought the shell like that. It was a track only car before this.

 

the holes in the rear bumper are called diffusers i believe, and they let out the air that may get trapped in front of the bumper. it makes sense when you think about it.

 

I like new hatch, but the rear bumper is ghey.

i think it's for aerodynamic and air/wind purposes..

I like honda-tech, but some of the members are ghey.

Like mluckxxx said, it lets air out of the rear bumper that would otherwise get trapped and cause unwanted drag. It looks cool too.

 

the motor is being built, going for an 11-10second single cam turbo set up, more pics of that to come

 

i think the holes are ok as long as you put it to good use
