Noob question? Maybe... anyways orded a lip, came with bolts and self tappers. I've searched for the best method... using only self tappers, self tappers and 3m tape, bolts and self tappers...

Well, i'm just stuck as to which will hold the tights and longest (i.e. not fall the hell off) wondering what HT prefers. I was gonna buy some more self tappers but i wanted to ask what everyone's opinions are. Thanks

i would weld the screws. dont want some moron trying to steal your lip.

 

hmm, i don't quite understand... (Calculus Theory owns me) don't the screws just screw into the bumper? What do u mean weld them?

ok right, but um, i don't feel like cuttin off the bolts everytime i want to change lips (type r replica for daily use, cf spoon for "special" days)

i'll weld one or two bolts maybe, plus i don't live in a high crime area so getting stolen is the least of my worries.

well guess the verdict is 3m tape, self tappers and bolts and nuts.

Any other suggestions?

In my experience, self tappers work the best. Used them on my oem civic lip with numerous bumps and scrapes. It finally took hitting a cinderblock going 75mph for it finally snap off.
