alternator going out?
ok guyz here's the problem im having....i got a 94 accord lx with about 210,xxx miles on it...recently i noticed the car starting a lil slow/sluggesh so i was think battery is prob gonna go soon....well the next day i went to try and start the car and it just kinda made a tick sound....later found out the starter gave out so i replaced the starter and battery started up like a champ...but then i started to notice that its sluggesh startin again....now my lights flicker sometimes and my mph gauge jumps, my clock n radio will cut out then come back...its like everything kinda goes out for a sec then comes back...the only thing that doesnt stop workin is the rpm gauge....any ideas will be a great help!.....thank you for ur time and input...
How do you know your starter really gone?
If I’ve you, then return that stator and get an alternator but keep the battery
Starter can be re overhaul easy – but Alternator has more electronic parts than starter its up to you – if you have $$$.
Looking at your question; I can see that you have a bad alternator.
ohh what about battery Terminals etc ?

if you don't mind how did you test your starter ?
Ok, now time to troubleshoot your Charging system.
if the charging system indicator does not come on or does not go off, or the battery is dead or low, test the following items in the order listed below:
Battery
charging system indicator
Alternator/regulator circuit
Alternator control system, thats what my manual says.
does the charging system indicator come on ?

If you've got a multitester (volt/ohm meter), sample the systems voltage while running. It should be able to maintain 13.8 to 14.4 volts. It should remain steady and not waiver.
You're right at the point where the Alternator's brushes often wear out.
It sounds like it charges at some points, not at others.
