PR3 Automatic ECU Chip/Modification
Easy question guys: I would like to know if it is possible to modify/"chip" an AUTO PR3 ecu as it is to do to a MANUAL PR3 ecu.

Yes, just move the r68 resistor to the r67 position.

i'd like to keep it automatic, i'm trying to see if i could burn a chip to modify the ignition and timing parameters for the cams and i/m and such that i have. she's staying auto fo sho.
excellent. that's what i wanted to hear. so the same kind of services offered for regular obd-0 ecus will work? no special parameters to take into account with the auto ecu because it works with the separate tcm for the transmission control.
Yes, it can be done (keeping auto and re-mapping). However, not everyone offers it. Most people that offer chips offer only ones that are just copied and re-burned, not truely custom chips. We do offer them for both the PR3 OBD1 or PR3 OBD0.

but you have an automatic. you'd have to either convert to a manual, or get one of those automatic obd2 to obd1 conversion harnesses and then get something. and if you go that far and spend that much, it may not be worth it.
Even if I had a manual, wouldn't I have to convert OBD2 to OBD1 with a harness anyhow? If chipping/ reprogramming my ECU is within a $300 range or less it's worth it IMO.
