I would say there is a small chance you can fix it cheap and quick.. You could try to do this: Get a set of b16 cams or some cams you dont need.. Cover the cam in like a lapping compound... install the cams in the head with it off the car.. and covered in compound.. not turn the cams.. with like a inpact or something that will turn them kinda fast.. that should sand down the journals and make them smooth again.

Or at least take this idea.. and see what you can come up with...

hell yeah, thats the kinda of ideas i like!!! but i dont have any cams i want to sacrifice... i was thinking of just taking a wheel/master/slave cylinder hone and putting that in a drill and seeing what that would do...
