I just bought a b16a from a friend. He doesn't know if there is aftermarket cams in the head. There is aem cam gears though. If I took the head off is there any way to determine what kind if diffrent from stock, the cams may be? Thanks in advance for any help.
some cames have a stamp or a mark that will identify it. My cams have a part number etched on the eond of them. Not sure if you could see it when they are installed.

Well you don't need to take the head off to find out...Just take the valve cover off.
My Crower cams have the word "CROWER" cast into each cam, so I would assume most aftermarket cams have some kind of ID & part number usually stamped into each cam.
