Default Switching Front / Rear Springs?

Has anyone tried this before?

I have H&R springs and the rear spring is about 6.5" compressed and the front ones are about 10" when compressed.

Is it ok if I put the rear springs in the front and the front in the back? I would like to lower the front a little bit more.

My struts are adjustable so if I can put the shorter springs I can raise up the thread for some shock travel while maintaining the lower stance of the car.

I'm just curious what will the ride be like because I don't know the ratio of the springs.

Any experience on this?

This will not work properly, the front will be way low and the rear will be way high.

And it'll be a pretty bouncy ride. It'll be fun for the kids.

I can adjust the rear because this is the full coilovers. right now the rear still has about 4 inches to go down on the thread.

Im more worried about the ride if it will be bouncy because of the spring rates. right now it rides very good but I'm curious if it will be bouncy because of the spring swap...

I dont understand your setup. Please explain. You say h&r springs but you can adjust the rear. So yeah the ride will be too soft in front and too stiff in the rear.

i have an H&R full coilovers. I just want to test if I can switch the rear springs in the front and vice versa. I already did a pair last night. Both of them sits very well after the spring switch.

I just need to test how the new ride will be.

I can switch it back if the ride is unbearable.

Oh ok, i thought it was just lowering springs. Go ahead and try it, and maybe it wont be bad. So the front wont lower anymore though right?

the front are set to the lowest thread already...tires are tucked about 1.2" inches or so...

but I want to test the rear springs in the front to see if it can make the ultimate slam look. ride wise I think the struts will hold it...

You can try it if you want. But it will be really bouncy, even when driving on a smooth surface. Let us know how it goes though.

tomorrow i will test drive it outside. i installed ingalls camber kit in the front and rear washers in the rear at the same time.

the bottom plastic cover in the engine bay is like .5" off the ground and it's hitting the driveway although it's FLAT surface! so I will clip it and then I can test drive it.

I just got a ferio sir lip yesterday and I don't think I will be able to install that anymore. it's drop to the ground...

however, one thing i noticed though. the top screw of the front struts has more threads space on the hats. i think i got an extra inch of shock travel...

well i will just wait and see how will the ride be like tomorrow...if it's really bouncy then i can go back to original settings that's not a problem. if the ride is good then I will keep it this way.

i took some pics and i will try to post them laterz....

the rear is not a problem...as you can see in the pics of the struts still has lots of drop left...i can tuck the rear rims itself up to 2 inches.

one thing that made me switch back was that I found a way to adjust the front struts to achieve this height even without switching the springs.

I adjusted the fork up from the strut bottom... so I just enlarge the hole of the fork so that I can raise it towards the strut bottom close to the welded area.
