Default tranny issues

I got a 94 eg si w/the d16z6 in it the tranny took a **** so i replaced it i was wondering when it was in it was stuck in 2nd gear wouldnt come out of it and if i let go of the clutch it would stall but i could move the shifter into every other gear except 2nd because obviously was stuck and if put in reverse the car would shake and on go anywhere????i drained it and the fluid look like metalic paint was wondering whats wrong fork bent, synchros bad, gear shot whats your input on this issue guys

Just get a new transmission. You will spend more time trying to fix it when you can get d-series transmissions for under 200 dollars.

yeah i got 1 for $100 from washington state just wanted to know whats wrong with it and if its worth fixing

No, its not worth fixing...but it is good for fun to take apart and look inside to learn about the insides of a Honda transmission. If you find other junk transmissions and you have time on your hands, then try to put one together...

how much in total would it cost for overhaul kit and if i couldnt overhaul it how much would it cost

depends on how complete you want it. I just priced all bearings + seals from honda. Just over $300

If i had the manual how hard would it be to do it i know you have to know the measurements on the shafts for how far the gears are from each other
