i got an aem short ram and its the chromy/polishy ones and it gets dirty so faster with dust and gets scartchs so easly so i was thinkin of powder caoting it some colour that wont scatch and will have a cool colour should i do that or just paint it myself or what ? to powdercaot it would cost 80$ btw but i can have it ina uniqe color like yellow or same red as the type r vavle covers...

 

i used some duplicolor wheel paint on mine and it turned out great

 

you can scratch the coating on powdercoat too.

i don't think it's worth the effort, and you'll loose the AEM sticker too

 

Try painting it with 3 layers of primer, 3 layers of good spray paint, and 4-5 layers of clear coat, waiting about 30 minutes between each coat. $9 and it wont' get scratched too much

 

Just paint it your self unless you are showing this car for money. You can spend that money on better things and it is not worth the down time!

Paint it bronze

 

Powder coat will last a long time and look a lot better.

just make sure ur not goin to need to show the CARB sticker on it...or dont paint over it

Are you really uncapable to think for yourself? Paint it whatever the heck color you want! Why the heck do you want people telling you what to think? Think for yourself!
