Bad motor mounts will most definitely cause wheel hop.
As to your other question, I've never found Good (and inexpensive) Motor Mounts.

If you can stand the additional vibration, I'd go with Poly mount inserts. Either that or Factory items.

That particular product, no. But I have heard of the process. In effect, you're filling the voids left for flex and making it a solid rubber (silicone) mount.

A good cheap alternative to poly mounts is to fill your mounts with urethane. I'm trying to find a write-up. I'll post it when I do.

I believe this is what you're talking about; and guess what, It's Urethane!!!

Flexane 94 Flexible Urethane (Black)
6,000 cps | 97A Shore Hardness
10 Min. Gel Time

This is a semi-rigid material which is extremely tough and abrasion resistant. Ideal for flexible molds and non-marring holding and assembly fixtures.
Flexane Urethanes contain no solvents and feature low shrink, high chemical and abrasion resistance

My friend filled his mounts with urethane on his jdm f22b they are stiff as hell but im not sure what product he uses. Filling and Inserts are a lot cheaper than buying a mount kit from Hasport and such.
