broken wheel stud
i was driving yesterday and all the sudden istart hearing an awful sounds coming from the front right of my car. i thought it might have been somthing wrong with my suspension, so i jacked her up. then i was about to remove the front tire when i realized one of the wheel studs had snapped off completely!
anyway's i was wondering if you guy's knew of any write up's on replacing the stud's. i found on on the tech area of honda tuning. i also found these two.

but i was also wondering where i could find some OEM replacement stud's because if i replace them with the skunk2 extended one's then im going to have todo it to all four wheels and buy new nuts too

Yes, wheel studs are cheap. But on MANY Hondas, there is no way to replace it without removing the hub. And doing this typically requires replacement of the bearing. So you will likely end up paying ~$100 to replace a $1 part. An alternative would be to get a used hub/knuckle assembly at a salvage yard.

i screwed up the thing that hold the hub onto the knucle!
anyone know what this is called?
the part number?
it holds the hub to the knuckle and compresses the two to the bearings
heres the hub:

You can just grind a flat on one side of the stud and drive it in without removing too much. I've done it on 2 cars. A guy at Discount Tire told me they get replacement studs that are already flat sided for this.
Seems like they always break on the front
I can't figure out what you f'ed up. The spindle? Where the nut screws on?
And your car shouldn't make horrible noises just from a broken stud.
Unless it was one of only 2 or 3 holding the wheel on, lol.

yeah i ended up going to a decent sized salvage yard down here and replacing the entire knucle, it worked and my car's been rolling for two days.
but it made noise because one was broken out of four.
it wqas the biggest bitch to replace but im happy im driving my car again
