Default over heat/oil problems

I was driving home to change my radiator and all of the sudden i was over heating, the needle was right under F, so I turned my heater on full blast, pull over to the side, and turned off my car. I pop the hood and everything was fine.

10minutes later I waited for it to cool down, and drove home. dropped in a koyo integra radiator in my 92civic, added a bottle of water wetter, coolant & water. Started the car, warmed up, drove around for 5minutes, didn't over heat.

Parked the car, checked the oil, the oil level was under the bottom 'dot' of the dipstick.

An hour later, I checked my oil level again, same thing.

I have 2 questions,

1, How am I losing oil or am I burning oil?
2, Will it be ok if I drive without the radiator fan because my stock one didn't fit.

No, you need the fan. Your radiator will "radiate" heat but nut well enough in traffic.

Do you have any oil in your water? What kind of radiator did you buy that the stcock fan won't fit? I'm curious because I'm about o change my (now leaking) stock radiator out with an all aluminum eBay one and I don't want to get the wrong one.

you are gonna need the fan. if you get a civic radiator, then the fan will fit. but if you get the full sized integra radiator, you need the integra fan.

The oil could be a lot of things, but I would check the fluids for signs of a bad head gasket, and also check the oilpan gaskket and drain plug for signs of leakage.

Yeah, I was wondering if you have any oil in the radiator or oil on your plugs?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by vc &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

there aren't any leaks on the drain plug, I think I might have a blown headgasket because I had some milky **** under my valve cover once but I got that fixed (but didn't change headgasket). I pulled out the breather tube and there was oil on the **** (on the intake) where the breather tube goes.

How much does it cost for a oem headgasket? Part and labor?

Also I just pulled out the breather tube, and there was oil on the nipple part on the intake and valve cover. WTF?

Ok my dipstick shows that there is no oil in the engine. and I saw some greasy-ish bubbles in my radiator.

Am I burning oil?

I wouldn't drive your car another foot.

You absolutly have headgasket issues if you have oil in your radiator. (which is better than having water in your oil)

I'm pretty sure there should be a little oil in the btreather tube since that is venting from your valve cover.

Unfortunatly I don't know how much head gaskets are, or how much they would be to change them. Sorry dude.

I haven't started my car ever since then. I don't know how long I've been driving low on oil.

OEM Headgaskets are $70 according to acura. I got a quote for $400 to change, is that a good deal?

-a while back, my oil turned milky because I hit a puddle of water, all I did was a oil change and got all that milky stuff out.

so 100% my headgasket is gone right? I want to make sure its really gone before I pay the labor to take off my head. Last time I checked, my compression is 210 210 210 210
