alright.. i have a d15z1 vx motor with a chipped p28 and vtec at 3600.... if im at half throttle the car pulls nice.. if im at full throttle.. it bogs off the line and takes off at 2300 then vtec activates and it starts sputtering bad at 4500 like it loses power really bad.. but if i keep it at half throttle its fine...
its a 92 cx hatchie with a 94 ex wiring harness 99 y8 intake manifold 92 dohc zc throttle body dc 421 headers 2 1/4 exhaust eg6 muffler
thanks for all the help.... also someone said the tps needs to be calibrated how do u do that?? thanks

no its supposed to be that low... actually its supposed to be at like 3200 or something... its the vtec e motor

VTEC e ? Meaning the 2 stage vtec ?
If it is the 2 stage, what's happening is your vtec is actually engaging too low... the 1st stage of vtec on the 2 stage system does not have an agressive profile and the 2nd stage is what you would consider the ''real'' vtec...
If you have this 2 stage system, the ecu is sending the ground for vtec as it should, but the 2 solenoids both activate off the same signal.... from what I've gathered recently from d15b 2 stage owners is that the signal wire for both solenoids is the same, but there are 2 different voltages to activate the primary and secondary solenoids. Your ecu is likely only sending the secondary voltage value.
My $0.02... if it applies.

Then in that case... the vtec e supposed to run really lean down low... maybe your base ignition timing is off from stock OR the ecu is running a bad timing map and ur knock sensor is stopping the party with retarded timing. (grasping in the dark here)

no knock sensor board on p28 ecu... idk whats giong on.. because its totally fine up to 6500 at half throttle but if its full throttle after vtec it sputters

hahah ya soo true.. hahaha.. anyway.. got it figured out.. im broke right now so im using a cx dizzy on it and it doesnt bolt up right.. but i had the timing too retarted.. got it fixed and the damn thing pulls sooo nice.. haha really nice.. spun second and chirped 3rd.. its actually not that bad of a motor now it runs good
