Default Compression test results? Little Low?

Just did a compression test. Motor is B18C1 stock stroke w/ wiesco 11.8:1 pistons and stock head gasket. WOT, Dry cylinders, 7 compression strokes. Here are the results:

Cyl 1 250
Cyl 2 245
Cyl 3 243
Cyl 4 251.

Does this seem normal for a high comp motor? Thanks!

Motor only has about 8000 mile on it since we built it. Doesn't that seem kind of low for that milage??

That looks pretty good to me. I would probably expect about 265 across but that isnt bad.

What do you think would be normal for a high compression motor?

As long as there isn't 20+ psi varience in the cylinders you are fine...

The only reason I am worried is that about 3 months ago I tested it and it was at 270 across the board.

did you test it when the motor was still hot? when the motor is hot the rings expand making a better seal. so thats maybe why you got higher #'s the other time. but those #s are good
