Rattle can paintjob, what sandpaper for original faded paint?
I wanna do a rattle can paintjob on a 91 civic Si i bought for $500. I wanna do white/grey/black camo colors but first I just wanna know what sandpaper can I use and if one of those electric sanding machines ae better for the job?
You can use any grit from 100-320, depending on how much of the paint ur gunna sand down.. if u want a quick job, jus use 100-180 it cuts thru paint fast and will give u a good surface for the new paint 2 adhere to, if u wanna do it proper get an electric/air sander or d.a (" dual action) sander and use 100 to get to the primer, and 320 to get 2 the metal, and then spray primer and ur paint
good luck

I wanna do it like this but the car imma get, the color is red

I know that I gotta start off by doing all the dents, holes etc with Bondo then start sanding with a like 220 grit then go to 400 then 600 but would it be better to do it by hand or get a sander? and also after the sanding, do I gotta get a rag and get all the dust off with Laquer thinner? Please help me out guys
