Default Del Sol gauge cluster....

I've been considering "ambering" my dash lights. Mainly just the gauges because I don't think I have the patience for messing with everything else. All the how tos I've read only explained it for civics. Anyone have any details on getting to the bulbs on a Del Sol?

there are 2 screw that hold the aux light switches and the hazard buttons to the dash take them out and pull the whole assemply out flip it up so its outta the way. 3 screws hold in the gauge cluster take them out and pull the cluster forward and dissconnect it. the light bulbs are behind the cluster and make sure you take out the right ones.

So just the two screws above the cluster to get the trim off? Then just the regular cluster screws? Thanks a ton! I'm thinking of doing this today, seems like an easy enough addition.

just pull it out the whole uppper plastic trim is 1 piece with the switches.

You dont need to take bulbs out of the plastic housing tp paint them. take a paper cup and palstic wrap over the top and dip the tip of the bulb almost to the plastic housing piece.

Well I was thinking of replaceing my bulbs since they were kinda dim. But anyways, the bulbs I bought wound up not even fitting. It matched the reference but when they were in the housing they wouldn't screw back in. And what kind of paint did you use? I never considered just using my factory bulbs. Thanks for helping out.

the plastic auxilary switch cover is clipped in, you just have to yank on it when you take the two screws out,

I have red paint on my bulbs but its just not bright enough, im thinking of getting the amber ones from honda, anyone have any pics?

I got my dash all back together now after returning the bulbs I bought so I may keep looking around to find some amber bulbs in the right size. Thanks for your help everybody.
