2 part intake question
ok, so today i was cleaning my intake filter with the K&N recharge kit. after i had cleaned it and rinsed it out i noticed a penny size holt in the cotton filter. there is still wire mesh all around the filter and where the hole in the cotton is. i'm not sure if something like that could end up hurting my car later. so i have 2 questions:
1. will a hole that small in the cotton gauze hurt my car at all?
2. if not, should i still replace the filter with a new K&N anyways?
i don't think something like this could hurt my car, but any input would be appreciated. TIA!

as long as the mesh is still there, you dont have to worry about many objects coming into your engine
i would replace it eventually, but its not like its an immediate threat
heck some people run open itbs on the street....
