Well i got some nice 15's for my eg hatch, but i already had a 1 1/2 drop on the hatch with the stock 13's. So anyways i put my wheels on and it was high again, i had to drop all 4 coil overs down 3 1/2-4 inches to make it look normal, now it's not insanely low, but just wondering why this is. The coil overs are dropzone, but i wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it, it's just kinda awkard...
thats how it is bro...the bigger the rims you put on there the higher your car will sit...my friends DA was on 14s and lowered on skunk2 coils....he just got 94 gsr rims which are 15's and his sat a little higher...

half way right this person is..
it is the difference in the outside diameter of the tires that you're using that is going to affect ride height. larger outside diameter is going to raise the car, smaller outside diameter is going to lower the car. not just the rim size like this guy thinks.

what size tires did you have before on the 13's, and what size tires do you have now? With that info we can tell you how much higher your car was once you switched wheels, before you dropped the suspension again.
I have 14" rims sitting on 60 profile tires. 15" rims with 50 profile tires would have the same outside size (tire and rim) than the 14s. That would make my car stay at the same height. Wouldnt it?

Use this tire calculator and look for yourself. Post of your tire sizes so we can see what were lookin at. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

we need more than just 60 series and 50 series. those numbers mean the that the sidewall is 60% of the overall size (the first number). So we know your sidewall % has changed, but without the entire tire size, we can't tell you how much it changed.
the 195/50's are a full half inch smaller diameter than the 13's you had previously. that smaller diameter would make the car about 1/4" lower actually, and you would have that same amount more fender gap.
Im just going by what the calculator linked to a few posts back is saying. stock OD on a 185/70/13 is 23.2", a195/50/15 is 22.7" OD, 1/2" or 2.2% smaller.
Smaller sidewall accentuates wheel gap imo, so that may be the case. If you measured your ride height and wheel gap before and after and it measured an inch higher, then I have no idea

**** the height after i put on my wheels was 2 inch in the front and 1 in the back is whats wierd, but the front are rated 450P, and the back 350P so i gues that makes most sense. The coil overs are adjusted all the way down now just so it's back to my height i had before that looked good, it's low but not slammed or anything like that nonsense, but the coil overs are slammed pretty much, lol...
