Re: Need steps to bleed brakes (puffthomas)
how you doing first
- you need two people
- you only need to bleed what you changed meaning if you changed the right rotor and pads u only bleed that one, if you changed both bleed both.
- you will need a size 10 open end rachet
- you will also need dot 3 drake fluid to refill
- now you can start
- have one person sit in the driver side
- have them pump the brakes 3 times and then hold the brake down
- once he holds it down the next person opens the nipple
- once you open it and see fluid come out close it right away
- continue this step four times then you will be ready to go
- after that then u refill it then you'll be ready to hit the streets
P.S. i hope these steps help you alot have fun and HAPPY TUNING

you only need to bleed the brakes if you cracked the system or boiled the brake fluid from hard braking, however to keep things stiff and fresh meaning no old dirty fluid best practise is to bleed the breaks when you change the pads not mandatory tho
