I ran my tein S. Techs on my stocks for awhile... Even when I switched to Tokico's, my stocks are still good and in my closet. It really depends on what condition they are in right now. Of course, they aren't going to ever handle like aftermarket....... But if you are just doing the suspension modification for moderate driving, you should be good for alittle while.

Yeah there isnt any set amount of time that stock shocks can handle stiff springs. As loclowd mentioned it very much depends on the condition of the shocks when you put the springs on, and it also depends on your driving style and the spring rates that youre installing. The Sportlins are fairly stiff, 310f/275r vs the 165/80 of stock, so those will wear through stock shocks much quicker than S-Techs.

As interrim shocks, the stock ones will be fine, but I would suggest upgrading within not too long. Plus, you wont be seeing all the springs have to offer without adequate damping that stiffer aftermarket shocks provide. Shocks that cant appropriately control the springs leave you with a bouncy ride and less than perfect handling.
