14" I would say for drag on a strip with slicks. Otherwise if you are street racing I say put a gun to your head before you hurt someone other than yourself.

15" 99 Si would be your best bet IMO. It's still small enough to turn over nicely for drag but not as small as a 14 to hurt you in the turns. Just make sure you get a decent tire.

Stret racing? 16's with wide drag radials. Track? 13's with fatty slicks will work.

Street racing is awesome, we have an area around here, not the best light, but no cops ever. Pretty decent traction too. Personally I have 14inch HX wheels with Nitto drag radials, but I wanted to keep it stock looking. My Quaife LSD helps a lot on the stret. I am thinking about getting bigger wheels though, so I can get some meaty drag radials.

STREET RACING IS FAR LESS DANGEROUS THAN NORMAL DRIVING

I'm not sure who you race with, but we always make sure there are no cars around and have poeple at both ends. Be smart when you street race and you will be fine, if it doesn't feel right, don't go. I have never seen a wreck once when street racing, well I did see one guy crash on the wat to the track, but he was a fricking idiot for going too fast around a corner on the freeway when it was wet out. That had nothing to do with street racing, he was just a moron.

Now listen to this true story, just today on my way home to eat lunch, a lady in an SUV almost plowed into me because she wasn't looking. I was crossing the intersection and she blew by a stop sign. I had to swerve into the other lane to miss her, luckily there was nobody coming. I have been in MANY close calls just driving around town, because stupid people don't pay attention. I have also been in a few small wrecks, nothing serious, when I was 16 or 17. So from my experiances, the chances of a wreck are a lot higher when driving to get groceries than when street racing. Obviously the wreck will be worse when street racing because your going faster, but we all know the consequences and accept that.

i am not disagreeing with you in some cases. but those people that go to the "street races" when there are like 10k other people there, it isnt safe.

but even just you and another person on a deserted road does have some degree of danger.

and yes so does normal driving.

agreed. I had the same thing happen to me, raced when I was a stupid kid.. not like I am grown up anyway, but I feel I am a little wiser than my years. I got caught when I was 17 and haven't raced on the street since.

I do know what you mean though, that's why I stay away from big crowds. I go out racing with people I know, and it's usually not that many people (10-30 cars maybe?).

I think I fixed that for you.

Even though I don't care either way. It isn't the person racing that I worry about, it is the other retards on the street that pull out in front of the people racing and get smacked that I worry about. So I say it is personal preferece and good judgement which is the racers decision.

Some think it's safe to do and it's "ok" but wait until you lose a loved one to some idiot doing it and your point of view will change.
It's like having unprotected sex.
It's all safe untill that one time that you get burned.

Just remember, HIND SIGHT IS ALWAYS 20/20
