I've got a question for a friend of mine. My friend just fully built a d16z6 and installed it into his 92 civic coupe. The coupe had a 1.5 non vtec in it and he bought the vtec wiring harness and has the d16z6 computer for it. Inside the dash was the non vtec harness so he thought it might be that. We tried starting it, it would turn over but there was no spark and there was no injector pulse. The fuel pump does click on. He ended up getting frustrated with it and decieded to buy another civic with a running d15 in it. Do you have any idea why it wouldn't spark? Also, he's got a dohc vtec wiring harness. he's wondering if that will be compatable with a sohc vtec motor as well? I told him yes but I just want to clarify things.

So yea the question was will a d16z6 work in a d15 non vtec harness with the Vtec wiring harness and ecu?
