ok i noticed my a/c was not cold today and i checked it out. oppon inspection i noticed the comp did not kick in and also that a metal line from the condensor to the can looking thing was broken. can you buy just that line and if so what is it called?

lowp ressure line from condensor to accumulator a/c shop will fix for cheap usually and there should be a cycling switch for your compressor on one of the lines somewhere wii look like an sensor with no plug in it jump the wires and compressor should kick on.

ps. not all cars have this cycling switch but majority do

 

where can i get this line?

ac compressor wont kick on if it doesnt see any freon. since you have a leak no freon is going to the compressor so it wont kick on. same with if you didnt have a leak but no freon the compressor wont kick on
