Default What is wrong?

I'm not sure whats wrong but when I am in the post VTEC RPM's my car seems to bog. I think vtec is engaging but tough to tell on the stock filter. But the climb after 5800 RPM is not smooth anymore. It will even seem like is bogs sometimes at 7k. The motor is stock except my icebox which right now is jsut running my stock filter. Could it be the spark plugs, ECU or oil? My car is a 00 with 98K on the odo.

I would suggest doing all your standard maintanence.

Change the fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, distributor rotor, check and/or replace all the fluids, check/replace the battery, check all your grounds. Oh...your not throwing any codes are you?

definately do normal maintinence on your car, it'll feel brand new.

i recently had the problem of my T-Stat staying stuck open and letting too much coolant in resulting in my temps not getting up to where they should be for maximum performance (VTEC) changing that, the plugs, chaninging the oil made it feel like a whole new beast. spinning the tires when hitting VTEC in 2nd and 3rd, i love it
