Default b18b question

hey i have a 91'LS integ and ive heard that its suppose to be a b18a motor but i have a b18b motor. so i was wondering what year integ this came off of because i know that the people that i bought this from had been replaced so yea. also i was wondering if the mounts for the b18b and the regular b18a are different?

the B18B came from a DC chassis Integra. I don't recall the mounts being different....but I could be wrong.

b18a, b18b, it's the same block. maybe the previous owner was having problems with the motor and instead of rebuilding it, replaced it with a more cost effective used LS block, which are a dime a dozen.

you use the mount that were meant for the car (90-91). does the engine say b18b1 or b18b? if it says b1 its a usdm 94-01 ls engine, if it says just b18b its a jdm ls engine...145hp and 127tq

yes you should use the b18a mounts, and they are the only ones that will fit on your car with a b-series motor

yea you get the mounts for the year of the car you have. i think the only difference between the 90-91 and the 92-93 mounts is the driverside mount.

and yes if it says b18b you have the jdm b18b with about 15 more hp and 6 more tq than the stock engine thats suppose to come in the 90-91 tegs.
