Which Gauges for a Turbo R?
None will be mounted on the pillar!!
Hondata datalogging will be in effect (hopefully eurodeseo sells me his Vaio soon).
In addition to the J&S dual monitor and boost.
Out to lunch, back after Pad Thai and a short quick run of the R ... ed

In addition to boost and egt, I would recommend a temperature gauge because your block will run hotter than normal under boost, especially on the track. The OEM temp gauge is not all that accurate.
How about these Ed...
1. Oil Temperature
2. EGT
3. Fuel Pressure
4. Boost
5. Oil Pressure
6. H2O temp(maybe)(although you could always wire in a thermo based switch to turn on a light when you exceed X degrees since you have datalogging and will be able to see what the temps were after the run)

I have an oilcooler with thermostat and a JR coolant thermo for lower engine temp.
I have
oil temp
oil press
fuel press
EGT temp
boost gauge by GREDDY!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of sticking most of them under the radio, but maybe also a couple important ones up/by/instead of the clock.
Ahh.. fuel pressure...
What temp is the mark before half (or at 1/2, e.g., straight up) on the stock water temp gauge?

Screw gauges. Sell it and get a cluster blocker plate.
Dat chit is ill.

J&S dual monitor, boost, oil temp and pressure and an EGT.
Sorry Mike, I'm an info junkie but a full set of STACK w/the cluster blocker is not in the cards at the moment. hehe

Maybe I can mount a few up/out on the hood, and run the lines/wires up through the squirters!

Don't forget those usefull a/f meters... maybe and inside and outside air temp gauge. Also what about an air speed gauge. Don't forget to get something that will monitor the welds on your intake manafold, you might need a laptop to tell u that though
Turbine "revolution counter" would be nicey nice.

You know what...I'd think that was pretty funny, except I know that they actually make one, although it's actually a rpm gauge for the turbine.
But wouldn't it be better to mount the EGT in the Exahust manifold close to the exhaust pott, and before the turbine (for most accurate results. Other than that you've got to "guestimate" about a 300degree F drop.
P.S. my friend with the Peter Farrell mods on his FD3 has sensors before and after his intercooler!

Exactly... I used to examine some measuring and testing applications in years past!

if u dont mind me askin, what type of turbo set-up do u have on your R?
Sorry but I'm not familiar with the REV HARD stage 2C kit, but overall I like the quality of their hardware.

NICEY NICE!
