What 2 gauges to run for turbo???
I say boost and EGT. For a "non-round" gauge get a Techedge wideband with digital display, that way you won't take up room in your pod with a practically useless 02 bouncy bling bling flashy gauge. I don't know if you can modify the traditional gauges to work with Techedge's wideband output from the box.

If you can only have two and cannot afford a wideband like the Tech Edge, I would say boost and EGT. Boost is a given, you can't boost without one.
If you can't afford the WB you shouldn't put the turbo on your car. You're going to waste a lot more money not knowing what kind of fuel ratio you're runing around with.
Boost and egt. You dont need an air/fuel gauge at all. If you car is tuned with a wideband properly, then your air/fuel is on point. I only run a boost and egt, and tune exclusively with the fjo through hondata. I have never once worried about my A/F when driving around, i know its solid.
I would say the EGT in runner #3 and a boost guage. If you can get a turbo timer or boost controller with the built in boost guage, then my next pick would be a fuel pressure guage, especially if you are using a rising rate FMU.

Exactly what I do.

I would say boost and oil pressure. my desicion is based on you running Hondata or some other EMS that allows datalogging and tuning with wideband. To me this negates the need of an a/f or EGT gauge. If you can datalog then you know what the a/f ratios are like and EGT isn't an accurate way to keep track of that anyway. I'm still learning so anyone feel free to correct me on this. But for example, a high EGT reading can mean you are running lean or rich. It doesn't necessarily point to either one as the culprit. If you are datalogging, then you know exactly what your a/f ratios are. I can see using an EGT just to make sure nothing freaky goes on while you're driving but I think oil pressure is just as important. I am personally going with 3 gauges cause I felt I needed them all. (boost, EGT, oil pressure)
I would run boost and oil pressure if I could only have two gauges. Wb02 and EGT would be my next choices, even if it was already tuned. If you are running an FMU setup, a fuel pressure gauge should probably ace out one of the other choices tho.
Even with the probe in the downpipe, you're getting a mixed reading from all cylinders, so whats the point? If one cylinder is really hot, the other three will mix and cool the reading at the probe. You will still have a reading much colder than that hot cylinder. The only way to REALLY improve on the 3rd runner location is to run multiple probes, and that is not practical for most people. I think its already been mentioned enough times how the turbine absorbs some heat, and how the third runner is usually the hottest.
I wouldnt put the egt in one runner...I would put in in the downpipe, really close to the turbo. Otherwise, what if cylinder # 3 is running richer or leaner than the other three runners. Then your temp will be way off, and you will be in trouble..

Buy more gauges, treat yourself and be happy.
I have
Boost
EGT
Fuel Pressure
Oil Pressure.
I will eventually also get a
Oil temp
Water
Sooner or later.. someday.

since we are on the subject of gauges, I am using Greddy Boost and Greddy EGT...as far as oil pressure and oil temperature, will the autometer gauges for those work just as good? I can't really afford to buy the Greddy ones right now.

where would u get the source for the oil pressure guage? Is there any place other than the oil pressure sender on the block?
I would think that it would be too many T's (oil feed, and oil press) and it might break off at the block. where else can u put one.
