99 H22 in 94 Prelude Si, any problems to look for?
Is there anything that I should look out for? I'll be using an OBD-I ECU. What do I have to switch/change to get the 99 H22 working in an OBD-I chassis? I'm assuming the distributor, VTEC wires, and knock sensor....anything else?
the h22a motor should be a direct bolt on to your car. as far as OBD1 and OBD2, i believe skunk2 makes a wiring harness that will convert yours from a 1 to 2. and yes, you will need the distributor, knock sensor, axles (unless the h23a and h22a ones are the same, im not sure), wire harness, h22a ECU,
Well, I don't want to run OBD-II. As far as electronics go, I'm assuming the extra O2 sensor and distributor will be the main concerns when switching back to OBD-I. Is there anything else that I need to switch back to OBD-I? That's my biggest concern...thanx!
post on here how it turns out, my friend was thinking of the same swap AND converting obd sensors over as well.
