By burning oil do you mean out the tail pipe or just consuming alot of oil? It's possible your rings are bad or your valve seals. Do a compression and leak down test.

you see blue smoke coming from the tail pipe.
how many quarts of oil do you add per week.
Do a compression and keak down test

so a compression test
if they are good
the compression should read around 200psi
check the repair manual

what if its bad? would it mean my sleeves are cracked, bad rings etc??

how many miles on the motor.
if bad
ring. or bad valve seals
but make sure you do a leakdown test too.

Compression check with test the head ie. valves/valves seals.
Leak down test will check the rings.
