Default is using stock valve seats ok with crower springs/retainers?

Im gonna put in some crower valve spring and retainers, but I really dont want to take off the valve seals to put on the seats.. Will this make a difference? I mean, the seats dont even move, so whats the purpose of putting lighter ones? they wont break because they are against a flat surface, so should I just leave them on and put the spring, top retainers, or what?

thanks

Alex

Make sure the new springs physically fit the old spring seats, many times they won't.

well its not that I dont want to spend the money on valve seals, but that I just barely had them replaced and I honestly dont trust myself in putting them in right. They are a B*tch to take out by the way!! It took me like 2 hours to take them off another headcuz they get stuck easily....

its just my opinion. if i paid all the money for them i'd put them on.

valve seats have nothing to do with the springs/retainers. the valve seat is where the valve actually seals against the head.

They're talking about "valve spring seats." People sometimes just refer to them as "valve seats" which is confusing, I know.

There are pliers sold by cornwell matco..well i think maybe craftsman has them. for hose
s and what not that have a 90* angled head and a circle shape. I use them to take out seals easily and they come in really handy if you work on you car alot.
