If you mix manufacturers with your springs or don not use the proper spring seat for you install, that can happen.

well im on stock type r seats, cause i couldnt find where skunk2 made seats. but i am running the skunk2 springs and retainers, ferrea 1mm oversized intake, .5 mm oversized exhaust (the top of the class valves), ferrea guides, ferrea locks, ferrea seals... but anyways, the retainers fit the springs, and i hope the shop would of told me if the springs didnt seat on the seats properly, but i was just curious cause this is the only thing i could come up with that was a good explantaion for the problems i was having.

If you are looking at the valve and see a small gap it could be slightly bent. I have seen valves bent slightly and you can push on the valve and close the gap check and make sure the valve is not warped. Hope this helps.

well the head is still on the car, and i was really trying to avoid taking it off again. see the machine shop kept screwing up the guides, so i have had that thing off to many times getting the guides redone. and see i had thought about a bent valve, but it should be running perfect now if thats what it was.... i wouldnt think
