No, im talking about shiming those hats after a valve job to achieve the proper installed height.

shimming the spring seats wont change the installed height that is done in the valve job when the seats are cut shimming the seats lets you get equal pressure on the springs due to the differces in installed height

 

exactly, thats obiously what im trying to achieve and its done by measuring the installed height and shimming for the gained height.

So you know where I can get some or are you just correcting my typo?
