I have some 17 inch rims with 215/40 rubber on them I want to know if they will fit my 2000 Civic hatch?

 

Why don't you just try to put them on? It doesn't take long to put them on and try them out.

If your asking if theyll fit cuz of tire size answer is yes as for as if the rims will fit depends on bolt pattern of rims?

 

Stock for your car is 185/65-14

215/40-17 is only 1.3% bigger that stock in overal diameter which is acceptable however it is 30mm wider. This may lead to rubbing. It's hard to tell. Generally one trys to stay within 20mm of stock. 205/40-17 would be a much better size for your Honda.

It is very hard to say if those tires will rub or not. Also what is the offset for these rims. That will make a big difference. And ya, of course the bolt pattern as someone else mentioned

Yeah well I didnt have the rims as of that first post, I wanted to find out before I got ahold of them, yes they fit, and yes they rub, only in the back everytime you hit a bump it is a tad bit too wide. You were right neri thank you for the information.

 

Just get your fenders rolled.....problem solved

215/40/R17 is too big it rubs go with 205/40/R17 or 205/45/R17
