TPS Questions...
OK, ive been having a horrible time with CEL's, backfiring, missing, and bogging.
Went to the local
dealer and they ran diagnostic. Error Code 7 i believe (low TPS voltage). They ran every test they could on the TPS sensor and thats not the problem. All they did way reset the ECU (wow, that was worth $70) and it ran fine for a while.. but the problem keeps coming back. Sometimes it will run perfectly. But after a while it will hesitete really bad. then backfiring and missing will occur until the CEL comes on, usually after a few sec or a few min. This problem seems to be completly random. Sometimes i can drive my car for a while and nothing bad will happen, sometimes it starts to act up seconds after starting the car, and other times the CEL will just come on as soon as i start the car. When the CEL is on, things run relatively smoothly, im assuming this is because its going into "safe" or 'limp home" mode. The only thing i can think of that would be causing the problem could be my Zex nitrous kit. It requires you to tap into the TPS wire. Why is this problem so random? When the CEL comes on does the ECU disregard the TPS sensor? Am i hurting my engine by continuing to drive it in this state? Would a lower than accurate TPS signal cause the injectors to deliver less fuel, or is the TPS sensor only to turn the injectors from closed loop to open loop? any info, tips, or whatnot would be really appreciated. I want to put a FMAX turbo setup on my car but i really need to sort this out before i proceed.
Thanks guys!

Have you removed your Zex system to find out if it was causing the problem? I can throw 10 different possible solutions, but removing the zex would be best.....
well i pulled the fuse on it, but im at school and i cant really do anything to it till i get home this weekend. So if you could post some of the possible problems it would be most helpful when trying to troubleshoot the problem once i make it home.
