Default Think I'm running rich ...

Let's start with what I DO know:

93 EG Si
'94 JDM B18C
JDM DC 4-1 Header
Racing Sports Akimoto intake w/AEM filter
skunk2 IM
CTR Cams
AEM adjustable gears 0/0 (for now)
Magnaflow CAT/Resonator/muffler, all new
Stock injectors
Stock FPR
Stock P72 ECU
Denso Iridium plugs
New cap,rotor,wires
New thermostat,ECT sensor and sending unit
New O2 sensor
Bad IACV (hunts for idle when warm, normal when top IACV hole is plugged, just cleaned it)

Used Seafoam about 500 miles ago, have since changed oil.

What I'm noticing:
-Carbon from the exhaust. Maybe normal but seems excessive, possible residue of seafoam cleansing?
-Exhaust popping when shifting. Not backfiring, but not the normal "you've just got better flow" popping. Also happens when the idle is surging. Because of IACV?
-Distributor appears to be almost fully advanced (smog station reports timing at 14degrees, I see it at 16degrees).

Where should I start?

I set it at 16 a couple days ago, before the smog station looked at it and said it was 14. I'll check it again.

Timing belt is tensioned as of last night, and ignition timing is at 16deg (red mark on pulley).

So I'm getting carbon spraying from my exhaust when I start the car up, there's more of it when it's cold. There's no fuel in the exhaust because it doesn't light when I put a lighter to it while on a piece of cardboard. The liquid is definitely water, not a lot, but there is a little water which I've read is normal.

Should I not be running iridium plugs? Is that making combustion temps too hot? If so which plugs are best for my motor and which heat rating and gap is best?

Yeah, tuning is on the to-do list. Probably in the next couple months, it gets driven only a couple days a week.

Should I steer away from iridium plugs anyway?
