Default Swapping in motor. Have a few final Questions. DA9

Hey guys whats up,

So my motor blew on my DA9, 90 Integra rs,
Rings went and sounds like a baering,

Well, Insteead of doing a good rebuild and spending around 800.
(dont tell me I can rebuild for cheaper, if I rebuild I do it right)
So, I decided to add a little more to my budget and have been talking to parents,
I'm 17 so i cant exactly buy anything. Have o give them my money and then they buy it using my money.

So, I Think I'm going with 1st gen B16A1 swap/
Yeah i know, I'll take a hit with 9lb-ft less than my B18A1 but I'm ok with it.
I'm hoping with I/H/E, ES Inserts and my Clutch kit I'll make that back.

So, here is the one I think I'm going to buy.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...53017

So it comes with almost everything.
I have done my research, But have a few questions.

I know these things are my "worries"
*Harness, I will be using my stock B18 Harness, and I know I need to add the 3 wires for Vtec and the 2nd O2 sensor, SO I'll have to add 4 wires, Pin-outs/
*can I use my B18A1 clutch kit on my B16A1/tranny? Or will it not fit?
I currently have a 6puckstage3 installed. Will it work on the B16A1?

Those are really my main concerns.
Is there anything else I ned to think about or be concerned with.

Do you guys think the 47K miles is somewhat close?

Ok thanks.

u need to make sure the motor is obd-0, since ur car is obd-0 if ur gonna use the same harness, distributor etc. if its an obd-1 than u need to convert

Yeah I already did that, thats why its not one of my concerns,
My car is 90, B18A1 and its obd0 and then B16 swap is obd0 also.

Thanks tho,

Bump. only two people?

Edit: I'm not going with ebay. I'm going to buy the swap from

hceck out the swap guide on g2ic.com

w/ regards to your clutch, as long as the b16 tranny is a 90-91 (or whatever the equivelent jdm year) cable tranny, which it should be since its an obd0 motor, your existing clutch will work...

if your clutch plate doesnt fit on the install, then you have a newer tranny and need a 92-93 clutch disk. everything else, flywheel and pressure plate will fit 90-93...

hope that helps

Thanks man

I have decided to buy the swap from http://www.Hmotorsonline.com
Becuase they have built up a very strong.... Cant think of the word.
Perhaps, trust with everyone. I hear nothing but good things from them.
Plus, its only $1 more than ebay

But yes, I have checked the swap guid on G2IC.com, and i have also done reasearching on the swap.

Here is how I see it. I spend 800 to rebuild my twice rebuilt ls motor,
Afterwards it still has 300K+ miles on it and something else will break in 6 months.
I spend a little more Do it right the first time, save money, trouble and I'll be happy.
Thats is why I have chosen a low Mile swap, I dont care if it has 9lb-ft less than my B18, I'll get that back after I/H/E, ES inserts and shortgeard tranny and other stuff. PLUS, I wont be driven a 300K mile motor.

sounds good. shouldnt be too hard of a swap. just use the wiring harness and everything that comes with the swap. dont mess around with adding new wires.. since its coming with everything, just use what you get. should be good..

good luck.
