Default h22 swap into 98 civic o2 sensor quick question please help out thank you.

ok i did all the wireing on my engine to day except i got one question my civic had 2 o2 sensors one on the manifold and one by the cat the h22 only has one by the cat so do i just hook up the one i had on my civic by the cat or do i have to extend the wires from the old manifold 02 plug to the cat? thank you.

do you have emission testing in your state? if so you may want to hook both of them up and if your running obd 1 ecu it's not going to read for the secondary o2

ok i use the p13 obd 1 so has ne1 had to run this wire or is it taken care of already with the jumper harness. should i just leave the old primary o2 sensor alone? what im trying to say is the secondary 02 sensor that i had on my civic is that what the p13 is going to get its signal from or do i have to do some wireing?

it should get it's reading off the primary o2 the one before the cat and yes the jumper will take care of that. are you using a obd2 civic harness right.

yes i am using an obd2 to obd1 jumper harness. with that harness does that make my old secondary o2 sensor the primary one for the p13? i have an empty plug in my engine that use to go to the o2 sensor on the header so what im tring to say is do i just leave it like that and the cat sensor wires will do the job or do i have to cut the plug in the engine bay and run a wire all the way to the cat cuz thats where the o2 sensor is on the h22 and wire it that way?

the o2 on the header is your primary, that is what you want to run for obd1 ecu's. your p13 won't even look for a secondary, so just plug the hole in the cat so you don't have an exhaust leak and you're done.
