o2 sensor after cat question
I have heard if you dont have your o2 sensor after the cat installed, you will throw CID. well what I want to know is, do you have to have a cat installed to have the second o2 sensor installed?? I have a d16y7 and when I install the turbo, the cat will be removed. it is conected to the exhaust mani. so I was thinking if I dont install one, will it throw codes??

Re: o2 sensor after cat question
I have a 98 civic which is a obdII which I forgot to put in my first post. LOL what I was thingking of doing, was buying a cat from a 96-98 civic EX and gutting it. but I wanted to know if that would make me throw a code. it would make it look like I have a cat if anyone ever looked down there, but I have no smog rules where I live so it kinda nice.

Re: o2 sensor after cat question (turbotec)
Build an O2 sensor eliminator. Check my website under installs.
I'm still N/A for now but have had the 2nd O2 sensor disabled for ~6 months with no lights!

Yes, save your money and get a O2 simulator from importparts.com. These things are alot cheaper than buying a cat and its just a great product. I installed one on a ITR and it works wonders...
