Default Hondata chipped ECU able to be reburned for Neptune, Crome, etc?

and vice versa? looking to get a chipped ECU for my next setup (turbo), probably run Neptune, but not sure if I can just get a Hondata chipped ECU and write over it with Neptune or not? what are the limitations as far as rewriting an EPROM? can you burn over most chips or do you just need a brand new chip?

also, correct me if Im wrong, P28 has no knock sensor, and P72 has knock sensor?
