Default Which tool should I buy?

I am needing to take off my crankshaft pulley on my '00 2dr civic ex. I found the following tools:
Tool 1: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...28013

Tool 2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...28013

Tool #2 is a lot cheaper so i dont know what the other is 2 times the price.

Any help is appreciated

This is what you want: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...28013

i bought it when it was on sale for $14.99. You can also get a valve adjustment tool for $12.99 from the same seller.

I used that one (dwnthehatch) on my car with a 1/2" breaker bar, worked perfectly

Yeah and the first one is a different brand. I paid $65 for the bluepoint one I got off the snap-on truck. Wish I had seen that.

I use a torch and a 1/2 inch impact gun.

If all else fails, use a 3/4 inch impact gun and itll be off in seconds.

</TD></TR></TABLE> that was a good price, but $25 isnt bad compared to what honda wants. I did the valve adjustment not too long ago. i might pick it up for a future adjustment tho

well im not into working on cars all the time so air tools would be a waste for me. I just work on my car to keep it up really well since im keeping it till it craps out. i allready ordered the tool also. even if i have to work at getting the pulley bolt off a little, i dont mind having to do that.

Look into an electric impact gun, they are cheap compared to an air tool system and can deliver a pretty good punch. I have one but I have never used it on my car.....yet. I think it was $100 CDN and can give about 240 ftlbs...so it says

Cheers.

electric impact guns are useless. i tried to use it at my buddys place to change my t-belt and it doesnt have enough power to take it off. I just took it to my old workplace, air hose+3/4 inch impact gun+ 17 mm socket= crankpully bolt out in seconds.

Second person with foot on brake method always works for me. Just make sure the wheel is touching the ground. 3/4" breaker bar is a must sometimes.

That one is the best one to use because of the price.

Is one of the Dumbest idea's I've heard in a while now, by doing that you can nic up the pully which will in turn ruin your belts in record time possible in second's.

Anther alternative is to rent one from a parts store, for the one or two times you may need it, its more econimical. And you should really look for a good impact gun even tho I rarely use mine it is nice for changing a tire or working on a stubburn bolt.

Both tools are the same. I've got one and it helped me out alot on a bunch of timing belts.
