Default JRSC BELT question!!! will this fit??????? HELP

ok well i got off JR website that the blower belt is 4pk620 is the belt number

i called like 20 differ parts places when i gave them that part number they all coverted it to a diff belt brand.

i gave them the 4pk620 and they gave me a Dayco belt number which is 5040248 but then right underneith that it says 4pk630 they said that, this is the correct belt. like i said b4 every place i called said that its basically the same belt and that it will fit. IS this correct will this fit on a 97 gsr 6lb psi ????? every parts store says that this is the conversion belt to the number i gave them. help

basically saying thats the interchange number

The 4 indicates the number of ribs of the belt and the 620 indicates the length. You could try the 630 and see if you can take the slack out of it.

1mm = .04inches

4pk620 = 4 rib 620mm or 4 rib 24.8 inches
4pk630 = 4 rib 630mm or 4 rib 25.2 inches

The difference isn't enough to cause any problems, you could take the extra slack out with your tensioner.

The Dayco belt number 5040248 makes me think that it is 24.8 inches but Dayco must have rounded that to 630mm which is why the package also says 4pk630.

For future reference, convert the belt size your looking for into inches. It'll make things go much faster for the parts counter monkeys.

Enter the inches (approximate) and the number of ribs, and it will give you the standard and metric part numbers of any belts that are close to what you are looking for.

Then put the part number in here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/brows...81601

They are cheap, ship quickly, and have about everything in stock.

I've tried bunches of belts. Whatever is available at my local parts stores. From Autozone mostly: Goodyear Gatorbacks, kelly springfield, dayco. From Napa they'll have Gates which is one of the brands Jackson used to swear by, but they seem to run smaller than most other brands. And straight from Jackson and sometimes rarely available at Kragen: Bando.

I most like the Gatorbacks, kelly, bando....but a belt is a belt and they seem to be fairly cheap anyhow.

each company has their own unique interchange for belt sizes

http://www.gatespowerpro.com/Comerge...TOKEN=49863927

http://webcatalog.bando.co.jp/produc...ch/english/USA

http://www.accessdayco.com/Interchange.aspx

and duralast belts commonly go by just the number and ribs, so a duralast belt at autozone would be 620k4

i found some 4pk620 belts online. i have 2 different 630mm belts and they are too long. my setup only makes 4-6psi with them. and belt is loose with tensioner all the way down. so i need a 620mm. its a b18c with jrsc big boost kit crank pulley. and either 3.8" s/c pulley or 4.0". thakns for replies tho

thanks for the links and good info. autozone is rare around me too. mostly advanced auto, pep boys, napa. so im limited

i have to find a car/vechile/something that has a 620mm belt stock. 8 rib or 4 rib or 12 rib.
