Default Any of the AEM EMS Techy folks out there?

If anyone if familiar with installation and startup calibration of an AEM EMS I'd love to pick your brain a little...

me:
1012 EMS
UEGO Wideband / gauge
added IAT
added 3.5 bar backpressure

I mainly have some calibration and wiring questions if someone is familiar with the setup and wouldn't mind a quicky AIM convo or something.

Thanks!
Chris

? I understand the 1052 is smaller, but what issues did the 1012 have? It seems to work fine... I know the first ones had some starting trouble but I thought they fixed that fairly quickly.

The only major difference in the two units is the size of it. The firmware upgrades(which I'm doing now) correct any of the issues I've heard about.

back on topic nowwww...

starting the car was the main issue... even with the fix there were still some problems with it... there were some other issues, i just don't remember them... but i'll look for them if i have time to do so..

Have you tried the EMS forums provided by AEM?

Francesco - Yes, but its not recommended to drive on, its just a starting point. Not as good as the stock ECU usually. There are others that people have created and posted that would be better.

Ferrell - I have, but those boards seem to never get answered and are slow as christmas. So far my best responses have been on s2ki.

a mod or two on those forums work for AEM. Have you tried a phone call to AEM tech?

Did you post here, AEM, S2KI and S2KCA? I got to S2kI first so that's where I posted my answer. I'll send you that map in a little bit.

make sure you change the IAT temp table, it has been one of the major issues with "hard" starting and such...

will do, thanks B18CXr

I have a couple good examples to compare between. I think the best fit for me will be to start with the provided base and use examples of others knock calibration and startup params.
